Solar Meter helps you calculate financial benefit of setting up solar panels on your roof.
GPS, compass, and gyro gadgets on your iPhone will help you collect basic physical data around your proposed installation. You can then configure how many panels you see fitting on your property, and Solar Meter will do the rest.
Financial numbers will tell you what sort of income to expect from the system, when it is supposed to break even, and what annual return on your investment would that translate into.
First version of the program will be particularly helpful to Ontario residents applying for microFIT subsidy program and connecting their project directly to the grid. Future versions will expand to other subsidy programs around the world.

Data is not available for most regions so the app does not work!
The info doesnt tell you what regions are supported, or even that only some are supported. There are enough global apps out there that this company really should provide disclosure. I would recommend assuming your area (Southern California in my case) isnt supported and dont buy this app.
